The nicest place was Tiger Mountain, and we went there first. So it was not too tired to enjoy it. A very nice place. I took pictures.
Salmonberry flowers
Devil's club
Moss-covered trees
Close-up of mosses
An uprooted tree by a stream, there were many uprooted trees and some quite big. Lots of downed branches too. The stream was clear, despite heavy rain. J. explained why, it is a sign of this system being healthy.
I think this is a young spruce tree, not sure what kind
Then was a trip to REI for about $400 worth of heavy rain gear, and a few items to help make life easier for the aide I will hopefully be getting.
Bellevue downtown park was next.
No other pictures. We drove by most of the other stops. Ravenna, Green Lake, SEA street, some others. Stopped for pizza and ate dinner on the ferry going home. Exhausting day.
So much work just to try to reduce the risk of meltdowns and other unpleasantness. Very hugely grateful to J. for being willing to do this with me, not possible by myself to do such a trip. Though I would have tried anyways.
